Shaff J. Gorham, 45, of 300 E. Chillicothe Ave., was charged with persistent disorderly conduct after an 11:30 p.m. Sunday disturbance at his residence.
Officers were called to the scene by neighbors and heard yelling from inside the residence.
While trying to investigate, Gorham became confrontational, began yelling and would not calm down despite repeated warnings.
He was taken into custody and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
• Ryan K. Philpot, 22, of 817 Euclid St., Apt. 302, was charged Saturday with criminal damaging and persistent disorderly conduct.
Around 5:35 p.m., he became combative and violent while undergoing treatment at Mary Rutan Hospital’s fourth floor intensive care unit.
An officer tried to calm him down, but he began yelling curses. Upon his medical clearance, officers arrested him.
He reportedly kicked a counter top and a wall damaging both.
He was lodged in jail.
Bizarre behavior leads to arrest
Daniel C. Wright, 28, of Zanesville, and Heather M. Shortridge, 36, of Grove City, were arrested Sunday for drug charges.
Witnesses said the two appeared to be on drugs while at Burger King, 2005 S. Main St., around 4 p.m.
They were found in parking lot acting strange and consistent with people under influence of methamphetamines.
Officers, based on the observations, arrested both and found a prescription narcotic treatment drug on Shortridge and methamphetamine in a plastic bag.
Wright was charged with possession of methamphetamine, while Shortridge was charged with possession of a prescription drug and public intoxication. Both were lodged in jail.
Driver faces OVI charge
Robert J. Eleyet, 22, of 2595 Valleyview Drive, was charged Thursday with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and was cited for a marked lanes violation, failure to control and failure to stop after a crash.
He was stopped after an officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department on patrol observed his car drive up onto a curb at Lake Avenue and Main Street. The officer soon learned the vehicle had hit the rear of TP Lanes, 300 E. Lake Ave.
The building sustained minor damage, while the car sustained heavy damage.
Field sobriety tests indicated he was impaired by alcohol and he provided breathalyzer samples greater than 0.16.
