Ross Hughes, 33, of Russells Point, was jailed and charged with drunk driving following a traffic stop that occurred about 10:30 p.m. on U.S. Route 33 east of Russells Point.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department stopped the black Honda the suspect was driving for failure to utilize a turn signal while turning from the area of Lincoln Boulevard.
Upon making contact with Hughes, an odor of alcoholic beverage was suspected by officers. Hughes denied drinking.
A search of the vehicle turned up several empty beer cans. Hughes refused any field sobriety tests, was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail where he refused a breath sample. He was charged with OVI, and a turn signal violation.
