Officers of the Washington Township Police Department were dispatched about 9:35 a.m. Wednesday to 7333 Center St., Russells Point, (near Dunn’s Pond) in reference to an unresponsive infant.
Upon arrival, medical personal and officers administered CPR. The 2 1/2-month-old girl was transported by Bellefontaine EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, officers report.
The case remains under investigation and the infant’s name has not been released.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
