Indian Lake wins championship
Indian Lake’s junior high soccer team won the county championship after edging Bellefontaine 4-3 in a shootout.
The two teams were tied after 70 minutes of regulation play and 10 minutes of overtime.
Derek Cline scored two goals for the Lakers in the first half, but the Chiefs battled back to tie the game at 2-2.
In overtime, Cline and Xavier Monnin both made penalty kicks for Indian Lake, while Bellefontaine was only able to score one.
Defensively, Darrick Curtis made three penalty kick saves for Indian Lake.
CNM Solutions wins city championship
