Indian Lake’s boys basketball team grabbed its second win over a county squad in as many days Saturday after defeating host Riverside 59-45 in a non-league matchup.
The Lakers, who beat Benjamin Logan 62-58 on Friday, are now 8-8 on the season and have won four straight games. The Pirates fall to 5-8.
“I thought we got off to a rough start,” said RHS head coach Seth Bodenmiller. “It just seemed like we needed time to get a feel for the game and Indian Lake was ready to play from the tip.
“In the second half, we came out with a little more patience and confidence and were able to work the lead down. We got the score to within eight points in the fourth quarter, but they made some free throws down the stretch to put it away.”
