In addition, Art III and IV students Tylor, Tara, Gianna and David each has been selected to advance from the Governor’s Youth Art Regional Competition to the state level this weekend. The pieces will be examined in closed judging at Hilliard Davidson High School.
Tylor’s piece is a watercolor painting of an Indian Lake sunset and a watercolor painting of a waterfall. Gianna’s colored pencil piece features an ILHS hallway. Tara Neer’s entry is a colored pencil drawing of a cactus, and David’s piece is a collage of a tropical bird made from wallpaper.
ILHS art instructor Erin Miller submitted the pieces to the competitions.
