Nature education program at Myeerah enjoys successful first year
At the first meeting of 2017, the Bellefontaine Joint Recreation District board heard an impassioned plea from a group of young students who wanted to get a small playground in a city park that is accessible to children with disabilities.
Just eight months later, the local community has bought in solidly to the plan.
Not only is the money in hand to do a considerably bigger project than the members of the Dare to Be Aware Club first imagined, Parks Superintendent Kris Myers told the parks board at the Tuesday evening meeting, but the group now spearheading the project has its eyes set on an even more ambitious project
