ILMS eighth-grader Cheyenne Hill was recently named the State Middle School Winner for Artistic Excellence in the 2018 Ohio Art Education Association Youth Art Month and The Young People’s Art Exhibition Contest for her entry, Color Theory Zentangle City.
The award was announced during a ceremony Saturday at the Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus. Cheyenne said she was surprised to win the prestigious award.
“Art is a favorite hobby. I like my class and I’ve done some 4-H projects involving art,” she said. “I really liked doing the zentangle design. Even though it took a lot of time, it came out really cool.”
