Holly Tipple, 49, of Bellefontaine, passed away Monday afternoon, Jan. 15, 2018, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, after complications from pneumonia.
Holly was born in Bellefontaine on Nov. 14, 1968, to Lena Corwin Coleman, who survives in Bellefontaine, and the late George A. Coleman.
Holly attended the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Bellefontaine. She was a 1987 Bellefontaine High School graduate. Holly then graduated from The Ohio State University in 1990 and earned her master’s degree in 1995 from Wright State University. Holly taught Spanish and English in the Jackson Center Schools for 28 years. Teaching was her passion. Holly was extremely respected and an award-winning teacher. She was an avid reader and enjoyed Harry Potter books. Holly loved her cats and being around her niece and nephews.
Holly is survived by her husband, Bill Tipple, whom she married July 31, 2004, in St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine. She is also survived by her brother, Scott (Audreau) Coleman of Zanesfield; nephews and niece, Utah, Montana and Nevada Coleman; mother- and father-in-law, Bill and Marilyn Tipple of LaGrange; special friends, Debbi Tussing and Cathy Tenney; and all her current and former students.
Calling is from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine. A memorial service begins at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 316 E. Patterson Ave., Bellefontaine, with Father Shawn Landenwitch officiating.
