Teaching and coaching football at Riverside have long been at the top of Bryce Hodge’s list of career goals.
It has not taken him long to achieve those goals. The 2011 Riverside graduate has been a teacher and an assistant football coach for the last several years, and on Tuesday he was announced as the school’s new head football coach.
He takes over for Tim McGill, who stepped down in December after leading the Pirates for the past six seasons.
“This is a dream come true,” said Hodge. “I remember in sixth grade saying that I wanted to come back to Riverside and be a teacher and football coach. It’s an honor to have this opportunity.”
