Hobert Dean Trimble, 83, of Lakeview, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
He was born April 6, 1935 in Dan, Ky., a son of the late Andrew and Bertha Trimble. He was preceded in death by three sisters; three brothers; his significant, Elizabeth Kay Cureton; and a stepson, Mark Butterfield.
He is survived by his daughter, Deanna Trimble of Huntsville; a son, Clovis “Bud” Trimble of Belle Center; a stepson, Joe (Wendy) Badgett of Russells Point; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren;and his dog, Duchess.
He enjoyed helping others, fishing and garage sales. He served 30 years as a police officer, retiring from the Lakeview Police Department in 1997 as a lieutenant, serving as chief of the Russells Point Police Department in the 1970s and working for the Stokes Township Police Department. He served in the United States Air Force 23rd Air Base Squadron (ADC) for four years.
A gathering of remembrance with military honors provided by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard begins at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at 11351 Shawnee Path, Lakeview.
