A 57-year-old woman was found dead Wednesday in her apartment from a suspected overdose.
Officers of the Russells Point Police Department were called to Point Village Apartments, 400 Lincoln Boulevard, around 4:15 p.m. after a resident approached a deputy from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office at the complex serving court documents.
The officer and deputy were directed to Kimberly Garver’s apartment to check on her well being.
After several attempts to get her to open the door, the apartment management was contacted to provide access.
Inside, Ms. Garver was found unresponsive on a bathroom floor. There were apparent signs of drug abuse related to heroin in the residence.
An Indian Lake squad responded and declared Ms. Garver dead.
Authorities believe she died from an overdose of heroin or fentanyl.
