After years of anticipation, the long-awaited hotel project at Indian Lake is finally becoming a reality.
Cobblestone Hotel, a renowned hotel chain, is preparing to break ground at the site of the former Aunt Millie’s Restaurant, located at 211 Lincoln Blvd., Russells Point, at the intersection of U.S. Route 33.
The hotel chain published its notice of intention to build at Indian Lake in April 2022 and has been diligently working to secure state and local permits and approvals.
The deal was finalized in May through a series of productive meetings with the Russells Point planning commission and village council.
The forthcoming Cobblestone Hotel & Suites at Indian Lake will house 54 guestrooms, spread across three floors. The hotel will feature the popular Cobblestone Marketplace-branded convenience store, a spacious meeting room, an inviting indoor pool, an onsite lounge and an expansive outdoor patio.
The construction project is estimated to take approximately nine months, with an expected opening date in 2024.
Cobblestone Hotels anticipates breaking ground on both the Indian Lake and Bellefontaine locations this summer, with the Indian Lake location situated on the southwest side of U.S. Route 33.
