A statewide grant program aims at connecting school children with positive community mentors and role models.
The Community Connectors program, now in its third year, was created by Ohio Gov. John Kasich as a key initiative to foster increased student mentorship. In the grant’s first round, 6,000 mentors helped guide more than 22,000 Ohio students, the governor’s office reports.
