Congressman Jim Jordan, R-Urbana, addresses Logan County Republicans during the opening Thursday of the party’s campaign headquarters at 102 S. Main St. Supporters were joined by local Republican officeholders and state representatives. The congressman encouraged those gathered to support Republican candidates at the local, state and federal levels. Should Democrats claim majority in the U.S. House of Representatives on Nov. 6, they would surely initiate impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump, Jordan said, calling modern Democrats as radical as any political party has ever been. Jordan was en route to Sidney for a fundraiser that was also expected to be attended by White House official Jared Kushner, according to conversation Thursday.
