Geraldine Llewellen “Jerry” Campbell, 91, of Russells Point, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
She was born Nov. 27, 1925, in Toledo to the late Bert and Minnie Spillers Snedeker. On July 17, 1944, she married Roy Campbell and he preceded her in death Aug. 19, 1972. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Gwendolyn, Caroline, Donna and Mary Frances.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Campbell of Jackson Center; a granddaughter, Amber Hanley of Bellefontaine; four great-grandchildren, Allyssa, Amanda, Angel and David; a sister, Lela Purcell of Kenton; two brothers, Carl Snedeker of Brookville and Darold Snedeker also of Russells Point; and several nieces, nephews and great-uncles.
Jerry was a graduate of Washington Local Schools. She and her husband owned and operated Roy and Jerry’s Sohio Service Station and the Ritz Club in Lakeview. She retired from Heartland of Indian Lake and was a charter member of the Indian Lake Eagles Aerie 3615 in Lakeview.
The Rev. Joe Angles will begin funeral services at noon Thursday, May18, at Shoffstall Funeral Home North Chapel, 115 N. Main St., Lakeview, with visitation one hour prior. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to her family.
