Connie Smith addressed members of the Zanesfield Council representing the Logan Hills Festival Committee and the Zanesfield Chamber of Commerce.
Information is being sought from 1980 to 2002 of the names of the Zanesfield Citizens of the Year. Charlotte Baxter is looking for assistance with kids games at the annual festival.
The Hall Fawcett Memorial Park has set up a GoFundMe page for donations to make improvements to the park. Donations can be made anonymously as well as being designated for specific items. The Wall, a traveling exhibit, will be on display at the festival commemorating the fight for freedom from 1775 to current.
Ms. Smith is donating fabric to create a new Zanesfield community quilt. Information as well as squares for purchase will be available at the festival. The money paid for the squares will be used to complete the quilt which will be auctioned to help fund the park improvements.
The council thanked those residents who attended the meeting to discuss concerns in the village as well as Frank and Janet Reams for their voluntary service of picking up sticks in the Helen Wonders Blue Park.
Friday, volunteers with the United Way of Logan County will work in Helen Wonders Blue Park.
Authorization was granted Zayo Fiberoptic for a permit to complete work within the village
Bills totaling $1,668.63 were paid.
The next regularly scheduled council meeting is at 7 p.m. Monday, June 5, in the Sloan Library.
