The visiting Firebirds bolted to a 31-8 halftime lead en route to a 59-32 victory over the Chiefs in a non-league contest Saturday night.
Bellefontaine drops to 4-13 on the season, while Fairmont improves to 14-5.
“There is always a little bit of concern about the intensity level and fatigue when you play on back-to-back nights,” said Bellefontaine head coach Jason Calton. “But I don’t really think those things mattered much tonight. Fairmont has a really good team and they have a cou- ple of really good players. They were just too much for us.”
