Jesus turned five loaves of bread and two fish into enough food to feed 5,000 hungry followers, according to multiple accounts in the Bible.

Some 200 volunteers worked Saturday to fill 1,000 bags of food, each equivalent to five meals, at Bellefontaine First Church of God, 1000 E. Brown Ave, during the Feeding 5,000 event.
The bags were then distributed to residents in need in the city. Each bag contained bread, pasta, vegetables, pancake mix, syrup, apples, peanut butter, hand-written cards from volunteers and other church literature.
Food for the annual, non-denominational event, organized by Shannon Maier, was purchased via T-shirt sale proceeds and donations.
