A 14-year-old city girl with a recent history of delinquency issues died Friday after she was found unresponsive in her room.
Josie M. Johnson was declared dead at Mary Rutan Hospital after intensive efforts failed to revive her.
A Bellefontaine squad arrived at her 555 Newell St., Apt. 10, residence shortly after officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department and paramedics utilized an AutoPlus machine in their efforts to revive the girl.
She had been found by her father shortly before the 6:33 a.m. 911 call to police dispatchers.
He had gone upstairs to wake her for school.
There were no signs of foul play and also no obvious evidence of what caused her death.
The investigation by police and the Logan County Coroner’s Office continues.
