Michael L. Sabo, 78, of 8236 State Route 366, Russells Point, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident Wednesday morning
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 8:40 a.m. to 8127 S.R. 366, Russells Point, on a report of an assault received from Sabo’s son, Michael J. Sabo, 57.
The son told deputies that his father had come onto his property that morning and had started to yell at him, stating he wanted the two boat trailers that belong to him.
Michael J. said he told his father that he would return the trailers when the two boat owners came to pick up their boats in about a week.
However, the son said the pair began to argue and his father got in his face and allegedly punched him in the face. Deputies observed a large red spot on his right cheek.
Deputies went to Michael L.’s residence to speak with him. He initially denied that there had been a disturbance at his son’s residence that day, but then said his son began “mouthing off,” so he got in his son’s face. The defendant denied striking his son.
He was placed under arrest and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
