Ella Christine Cremeans, 92, of West Mansfield, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 11, 2019, at her residence.
She retired from Ray Lewis & Son in Marysville where she worked as a buffer for more than 25 years.
A member of the former Friends Church in West Mansfield, she was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and at the Give and Take, and served meals to seniors at the firehouse. She was a member of the American Iris Association, the Central Ohio Iris Society where she served as president for seven years and the American African Violet Society. She enjoyed tending to her iris beds, reading books, watching golf and football, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family.
Born April 9, 1927, in Springfield, she was a daughter of the late James R. and Sheila Rose Foster Randall. She also was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold McNelly, Thomas Hobart and Arnold Cremeans; sons, Thomas McNelly and Robert Hobart; stepson, Edward Cremeans; brothers and sisters, Edward (Mary Elizabeth) Randall, Earl (Sally) Randall, Ruth (Chuck) Drosos, Beulah (Albert) Page and Adella (Roger) Baker ; and two granddaughters.
She is survived by her children, Mary Rose Moran of West Mansfield, Jerry (Diane) Hobart of Belle Center and Wuanna “Bonnie” Brown of Caldwell; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary (Dick) Wilson of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Monday, April 15, at Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel, 222 W. Center St., West Mansfield, following calling that begins at 11 a.m. Dean Wasson officiates and burial is in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
