Edward Frances Post, 97, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at The Homestead at Logan Acres, Bellefontaine.
He was born in Logan County, Ohio on June 28, 1924, the son of the late George W. and Mary A. (Swartz) Post. He was also preceded in death by one brother and six sisters.
On January 18, 1953, he married Lucille Marie (Sheperd) Post and she survives in Bellefontaine. He is also survived by a special niece and her husband, Janet and Lynn Wilcox of Pickerington, a niece, Jeanine Corbely of Cincinnati, and good friends and former neighbors, Matt and Tanisha McCreary of Bellefontaine.
Ed graduated from Bellefontaine High School and had worked as a clerk for Kroger’s in Bellefontaine until his retirement. He was a 50 + year member of the First Christian Church, Bellefontaine where he was an honorary Deacon. He was also a member of the Logan County History Center and the Logan County Friendly Senior Center.
Rev. Kevin C. Greenwald will officiate a graveside service at noon Friday, October 22, in the gazebo of Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
