Dwight Lynn Hughes, 67, of Bellefontaine and formerly of Delaware, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at his residence.
He was born Feb 25, 1950, in Bellefontaine, the son of Dwight and Joanne (Grubbs) Hughes.
Dwight retired from Midwest Logistics as well as St Paris Trucking; and was known by his CB “Turnaround.” Dwight enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as well as gardening and growing flowers at his home. He was also very proud of his 34 year membership of AA.
Survivors include his wife Virginia “Ginny”; daughters, Shelly (Michael) Miller and Lacy (Tony) Brown; son, Chad (Rhonda) Hughes; sister, Cindy (Larry) Lane; brother-in-law, Larry Schnees; grandchildren, Alivia and Alyse Hughes and Troy Brown; and his special puppy dogs, Reggie and Willie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Karen Schnees; and his dog, Heidi.
Funeral services begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Jennings Farley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty, where visitation is two hours prior. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
