One person was hospitalized as a result of a two-car crash that occurred shortly after 2 p.m., Thursday, March 7, in the area of the 6000 block of County Road 37.
Uriah Goings, 42, of Lewistown, was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital by Huntsville EMS with suspected minor injuries, deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.
Goings reportedly was westbound on C.R. 37 operating a 2015 Audi when he traveled left of center and off the left side of the road, in the process striking an eastbound 2008 Acura TL driven by Jarrett Wical, 27, of Bellefontaine.
Wical was evaluated at the scene by EMS, but was not transported.
Deputies report Goings may have been under the influence of alcohol, which is a suspected contributing factor in the crash. His speed at the time of the crash was estimated at 120 mph, according to the crash report.
The crash is still under investigation.
