Matthew D. Wright, 25, of Raymond, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and criminal trespass following an incident Thursday at Mad River Mountain, 1000 Snow Valley Road, Zanesfield.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 10:40 p.m. on a report of a vehicle that was driving down the main hill of the ski resort. Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol also responded to the scene.
Mr. Wright reportedly was operating a vehicle on the ski resort hill when he got stuck in the snow near the ski lift.
Deputies noted that the driver showed signs of intoxication. He reportedly refused to take field sobriety tests. He was transported to the Logan County Jail.
Motorist transported after C.R. 13 crash
Logan T. Mullenix, 22, of West Liberty, was transported by Bellefontaine EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for non-incapacitating injuries sustained in a crash about 3:10 p.m. Thursday.
He later was transferred to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for treatment of injuries.
Deputies report he was operating a westbound car on County Road 13 just east of Township Road 33 when he drove off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole, causing heavy damage to his vehicle.
Deputies continue to investigate the crash, and no citations have yet been issued.
Multiple charges issued during child visitation incident
Jewel Peterman, 27, of 260 Grove St., Lakeview, was charged with disrupting public services, domestic violence and endangering children following an incident Thursday afternoon.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Grove Street in Lakeview about 4:15 p.m. after receiving a report from her estranged husband, Shane Peterman, 30, of 8890 Court St., Lakeview.
Ms. Peterman reportedly had visitation time with her children that day, and Mr. Peterman had stopped at her residence to pick up the children. When he arrived, she reportedly refused to turn the children over to him. He picked up his phone to call law enforcement and she allegedly pushed him and grabbed his phone.
Mr. Peterman then went to a neighbor’s residence to call the sheriff’s office.
Ms. Peterman admitted that she took the phone from Mr. Peterman, and she was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail.
