Logan County Joint Drug Task Force members report a Lakeview pair was arrested early Saturday morning on warrants for trafficking crack cocaine.
Kristina K. Gressner, 54, and Lawrence L. Jennings, 64, both of 125 S. Main St., Lakeview, each was arrested outside their residence about 2 a.m. as a result of an investigation by the task force.
Both were lodged in the Logan County Jail without incident. Additional drug trafficking charges will be forwarded by the task force to the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office.
Woman lodged for assault
Tiffani J. Hunter, 34, of 547 E. Columbus Ave., Bellefontaine, was charged with assault related to an incident reported by her estranged boyfriend.
Deputies spoke with Chad E. Cole, 42, of Botkins, Sunday regarding an incident that reportedly occurred at his campsite at Logan’s Landing, 11475 Township Road 293, Lakeview.
He said Hunter came to his camp site unannounced about 8 a.m. Sunday and reportedly entered his camper, allegedly physically assaulted him by punching him several times and kicking him in the groin.
Deputies observed that Cole had sustained facial injuries during the incident.
Cole reported that Hunter had also damaged his vehicle that he had let her borrow.
Deputies spoke with Hunter at her residence, and she said she slapped Cole at his campsite that day, and would not confirm or deny causing damage to his vehicle. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.
OVI arrest reported
Robert Coogle, 53, of Kenton, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs related to a traffic stop about 1:15 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies on patrol in the area of State Route 235 near Bentz Avenue observed his vehicle travel left of center and a traffic stop was initiated.
Signs of intoxication were observed from the driver, and he was asked to exit his vehicle.
Deputies observed that he was “constantly leaning” against his vehicle to maintain balance and he said he had consumed “two beers.” Open containers of beer were observed inside the vehicle.
Coogle submitted to field sobriety tests. He was transported to the jail, where he refused to submit to a chemical test.
The defendant also was cited for driving under suspension, no driver’s license, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, driving left of center and no seat belt. He had three previous OVI convictions from 2017, 2015 and 2007.
