OVI arrest reported in Huntsville
Zachary A. Pyles, 36, of 7982 Township Road 28, Zanesfield, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs during a traffic stop in the village of Huntsville early this morning.
Deputies on patrol in the village about 12:20 a.m. reported observing traffic backed up at the intersection of Lima and Napoleon streets. Pyles reportedly was operating a vehicle that was stopped at the intersection, and when deputies went to check on him, they found that he was slumped over in the driver’s seat sleeping.
Deputies said they had to tap on Pyles’ window several times to wake him up. While speaking with him, they then noticed an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The driver admitted to consuming alcohol that evening.
He submitted to field sobriety tests, and was transported to the Logan County Jail, where he refused to take a blood alcohol content test. He also was cited for stopping in the roadway.
