Whitney L. Renkert, 27, of West Mansfield, was transported by Bokescreek squad to Memorial Hospital of Union County in Marysville for incapacitating injuries sustained in a crash about 6:55 a.m. Wednesday.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Daniel L. Wallace II, 26, of Kenton, was operating a northbound car on State Route 292 and reportedly crossed State Route 47 without stopping at the stop sign. His car was struck by an eastbound sport utility vehicle operated by Renkert.
The impact sent the car and SUV off the northwest side of the intersection and into a bean field. Damage was heavy to both vehicles, which were towed from the scene.
Wallace was treated at the scene by Bokescreek EMS personnel for minor injuries, but was not transported. He was cited for a stop sign violation.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, deputies report.
