SPRINGFIELD — One person was killed and two children were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Mad River Township in Clark County.
Linda K. Camp 71, of Springfield was westbound on Dayton Springfield Road west of Cold Springs Road, when the minivan she was driving traveled left of center and struck a sport-utility vehicle operated by Margaret I. Wagner, 27, of Oakwood, according to troopers from the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Mad River Township Fire and EMS transported Camp to Springfield Regional Medical where she was pronounced dead upon arrival. Wagner was taken by Fairborn EMS to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment with minor injuries.
Two girls, 12 and eight, reportedly were not wearing seat belts, and each sustained serious injuries.
The 12-year-old girl was transported to Dayton Children’s Hospital by Care Flight Mobile Intensive Care Unit, and was listed in critical condition. The eight-year-old girl was transported by Fairborn EMS to Dayton Children’s Hospital and is listed in serious condition.
Clark County Sheriff’s deputies are assisting.
