The female driver of a blue Chrysler 300 passenger car fled the scene of a 4:05 p.m. crash Monday after striking the rear of a Bellefontaine City School bus at an exit to Hyland Hills shopping plaza, 870 E. Sandusky Ave.
There were no reported injuries to the bus driver, a bus aide or more than two dozen students on board.
Bus driver Kim D. Blackburn, 61, of Middleburg, told officers she did not notice the minor strike from behind until students alerted her.
She got out of the bus and talked with the driver, whom she described as African-American with her hair tied up in a pony tail. They reportedly agreed to call police but the motorist drove east from the plaza when Blackburn returned to her bus.
Anyone with information on the crash can call police at (937)599-1010.
