Kenneth Golden, 57, of Belle Center, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs related to a traffic stop about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department initiated the stop on State Route 366 near Marion Drive related to no license plates on the vehicle.
Upon making contact with Golden, signs of impairment were observed. Golden admitted to drinking alcohol throughout the day. He submitted to field sobriety tests and was subsequently placed under arrest.
He was transported to the Logan County Jail and submitted to a breath test, with a result of 0.224 blood alcohol content. The defendant also was cited for driving under suspension and no license plates. Officers note Golden has four prior OVI convictions.
He was released to a sober driver.
