Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities discussed the start of the school year at the Discovery Center and plans for the annual chicken barbecue fundraiser during this week’s regular meeting.
Superintendent Saul Bauer welcomed new staff back as they begin the 2017-18 school year. All the Discovery Center staff returned to work Monday and participated in ALICE training provided by the Bellefontaine Police Department.
The Discovery Center’s open house was Tuesday evening, with a Cat in the Hat theme, “The Places We Will Go.” Students returned to classes Wednesday and Thursday.
The staff also welcomed Ashley Evans, a certified occupational therapist contracted through the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center.
