Diana Lynn Wreede, 68, of Lakeview, passed away Sunday afternoon, Oct. 23, 2016, at Van Wert Patient Hospice Center.
Born Feb. 22, 1948, in Bellefontaine to the late Donald Franklin and Betty Evelyn Smith Davis, she also was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Williams, and a grandson, Devon Williams.
On Aug. 6, 1988, she married Jerry Wreede in Russells Point, and he survives along with her four children, Brian Williams of Delphos and Shaun Williams, Terry Williams and Lauralee Williams, all of Lakeview; two stepchildren, Becky Riddler of Ball Ground, Ga., and Kristin Lytle of Lima; three grandchildren, Jacob Williams, David Williams and Diana Williams; two great-grandchildren, Isabella Williams and Noah Riddler; two sisters, Beth Back of Maplewood and Penny Havens of Lakeview; a brother, Keith Davis of Quincy; special nieces and nephews, Josh Back, Jon Back, Trinity Havens, Skyeleigh Scott, Promyse Havens, Mike Davis and Jason Havens; and many friends, including Brian Moran and Kristi Gressner
She attended Riverside High School in DeGraff.
She and Jerry formerly volunteered as house parents for special needs adults. Lynn had worked as a nurse’s aide and a volunteer EMT for Indian Lake EMS. She was a former member of the VFW and DAR. She loved her animals, talking politics, crocheting and making blankets, visiting Las Vegas, taking car rides and collecting gems.
A gathering of remembrance is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview.
