Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office handled two separate injury crashes that occurred about an hour apart Thursday afternoon and on opposite sides of Logan County.
Logan County Sheriff’s deputies investigate a three-car crash that occurred about 4 p.m. Thursday on State Route 347 near the Honda auto plant in East Liberty.
In the first crash on State Route 347 near Honda of America Mfg. at East Liberty, at least two people were transported to Memorial Hospital in Marysville after a three-car crash that occurred about 4 p.m. in which a car traveled left of center and into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Impact from that collision sent a third vehicle off the right side of the road and into a fence post.
That crash remained under investigation at press time today, and a citation is pending. Damage was heavy and all three cars were towed from the scene.
Traffic was stalled for nearly 30 minutes on S.R. 347 while first responders cleaned up the scene. Perry Township EMS assisted.
In the second crash about 4:50 p.m. on U.S. 33 and Township Road 95, deputies report Kayli A. Lewis, 26, of Huntsville, was operating a northbound car on T.R. 95 and stopped at the intersection at U.S. 33. She reportedly entered the intersection and failed to yield to a eastbound sport utility vehicle operated by Michael E. Brunswick, 41, of Wapakoneta, and her car struck the SUV.
