Delores C. Pace, 69, of Lancaster, Wis., passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, rural Lancaster.
She was born on May 8, 1946, in Sidney, a daughter of the late Gerald and Gladys Shroyer Meyers.
Delores graduated from Lakeview High School in Lakeview, in 1964. She was employed in the bakery at Tinsley’s IGA before moving to Wisconsin.
On Aug. 6, 1994, Delores was united in marriage to David L. Pace at the United Methodist Church in Bloomington, Wis. She furthered her education at Southwest Technical College in Fennimore, Wis., graduating in 1995.
Delores was employed as a cake decorator at Dick’s Bakery and Wal-Mart Bakery in Platteville, Wis. She loved dancing, camping, painting, drawing, teaching, judging cake decorating, candy making and making her world famous graham cracker pudding. Delores will be truly missed especially her spirit, love, laughter and passion for faith, family and friends. May she rest in God’s hands.
Survivors include her husband, Dave Pace; her children, Doug (Lori) Barnes, Darren Barnes and Debbie (Tuan) Blum–Luu; grandchildren, Crystal (Tim) Chaney, Deana (Dan DeMuth) Barnes, Dakota (Emily) Barnes, Danielle Blum and Anthony Luu; siblings, Jimmy Meyers, Georgia Marker, Betty Brehm and Barbara (Jack) Corwin; many nieces and nephews.
Pastor Dave Arevalo and Pastor Simon Chappell officiate a funeral at 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, at Calvary Community Church, Lancaster, Wis. Burial is at a later date. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 17, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
