Deborah Jean “Debbie” Landis, 70, of Bellefontaine passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Mercy McAuley Center in Urbana.
Debbie was born July 7, 1951 in Sidney, to the late Roy and Ruth M. (Wahler) Gross. On July 5, 1969 in Bellefontaine she married the love of her life Ronald Eugene Landis Sr., who survives.
Debbie liked butterflies, listening to music by Tim McGraw and “The King of Rock “n” Roll” Elvis Presley. She enjoyed watching TV, playing cards, crossword puzzles, coloring, bowling and most of all, being with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Ron Landis; daughter Nicole “Nikki” (Derek) Parrott; grandchildren, Bryan (Shelby) Landis, Destyni Stevenson, Eli and Nevaeh Parrott, Cade Hatcher; great granddaughter, Aubrie Landis; siblings, Lou (Dick) Dixon, Beverly Wright and Dennis (Beverly) Gross; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Ronald Eugene Landis Jr. and Shawn Nelson Landis; siblings, Linda Yingst, Evelyn Zerkle, Walter Gross and Roy Eugene Gross; brother-in-law, Harold Wright.
A Funeral Service will take place Thursday, August 12, at 1 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery Following the service.
