Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and Riverside EMS personnel responded about 8:10 p.m. Tuesday to the area of County Road 62 and State Route 508 on a report of an unconscious man inside a vehicle.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found paramedics performing CPR on the victim, Jamey T. Holbrook, 47, of Monroe. Squad members also reportedly administered two doses of Narcan intravenously to him.
Holbrook was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported by squad to Mary Rutan Hospital. Deputies said no signs of drug abuse were found in the vehicle.
Dispatchers who received the 911 call about the unresponsive man said the caller acted suspiciously and refused to give his name. A report has been forwarded to the detective’s division for further investigation into this matter.
