Riverside’s girls basketball team took control from the opening whistle and handled host Fairlawn 47-30 Tuesday in a non-league game.
The Pirates improve their record to 5-9 on the season.
Fairlawn started off in front with an 8-7 lead after the opening quarter. Riverside found a spark in the second quarter and went on a 12-4 run. That pushed the Pirates to a 19-12 halftime lead.
