Curtis Grant Vaden Mallory, 64, of DeGraff, OH, passed away while surrounded by his family, Friday, November 26, 2021, at Preserve at Beavercreek Alzheimer’s Special Care Center.
Curt was born on August 4th, 1957, in Bellefontaine, OH. He was a son of Cyrus A Mallory, SR., who preceded him in death and Verida F. McKinley Mallory, who survives in Russells Point, OH. He is also preceded in death by a nephew, Ben Mallory.
Curt Mallory married Suzy Maier on December 28th, 1985 at the Bellefontaine First Lutheran Church and survives along with their four children, Becca (Joe) Vickery of Cincinnati, OH, Grant (Maria) Mallory of Cincinnati, Sarah Mallory of Lewiston, ID, and Michael Mallory of Cincinnati OH., three grandchildren Mallory, Hazel, and Rosie, three siblings Chuck (Ruth) Mallory of Russells Point, Cyrus Jr. (Ceci) Mallory of St. Petersburg, FL, and Connie (Scott) Hall of Huntsville, niece Carrie (Steve) Parada, nephews, Wes (Molly) Hall, Alex (Kelly) Hall, Blake Mallory, Max Mallory, and Jack Mallory.
Curt was a 1975 graduate of Indian Lake High School. He attended Galilee Lutheran Church in Russells Point. He was active with Alliance for Community Partnership, and previously with the Washington Ball Association. He opened Mallory’s Mufflers and More in 1978 and operated for 35 years. After closing the muffler business, Curt owned and operated Fox Run Drive Thru for 5 years. He actively pursued knowledge, excelled in the endeavors he chose, and truly valued learning. He was a self-taught mechanic, gardener, inventor, mentor, and craftsman. He designed and built his family home, grafted nut trees, rebuilt multiple 1957 Chevys, invented and patented an exhaust part, along with having owned and operated two businesses in his lifetime. He was known for being honest and empathetic.
Above all, he loved his family. He cherished and prioritized their time together, especially on vacations in the Grayton Beach area.

Service at 2:00 pm and sharing following the rest of the day.

Memorial contributions may be given in Curt’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago IL 6060 (alz.org), and the Indian Lake Watershed Project. Per his request, Curt’s body will be donated to science research to The OSU College of Medicine.
