Exterior roof work on the Logan County Courthouse is in the final stages, while final planning continues for the interior and a new entrance.
Logan County Commissioners Tony Core and Dustin Wickersham said Tuesday new architects had to be hired after the previous architects were unable to meet specifications established in the county’s contract with Midstate Contractors Inc.
“They will be picking up where the others left off,” Mr. Core said. “We made sure to specify that we owned any design work so they could not claim it as proprietary work.”
“We’re not completely off schedule,” Mr. Wickersham said. “We are more delayed than we want to be.”
Both said the project is on schedule for completion this year. Even without final interior and exterior plans, preparation work is under way.
