A man and woman suspected of passing counterfeit $100 bills in Champaign County and West Liberty apparently victimized City Sweets and Creamery, 222 S. Main St., on Sunday.
The suspects are a thin black male and a heavy set black female with gold paint in her hair. They spoke with a Caribbean accent.
Passenger arrested on warrants

Robert R. Ratleff, 43, of 308 E. Center St., West Mansfield, was arrested Thursday on two warrants for trafficking in drugs.
The warrants were a result of a Logan County Joint Drug Task Force investigation.
The suspect was a passenger in a car operated by April Lensman of Bellefontaine and traffic stop was conducted on U.S. Route 33 in the city limits.
Women face alcohol-related charges
Arielle L. Crooks, 24, of 2650 Township Road 185, was arrested today for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and was cited for failure to drive in the marked lanes of the road and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Around 2:20 a.m., she was observed on Northview Drive texting as she drove eastbound. An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department began following her and noted her car traveled off the right side of the road and into a yard in the 800 block of Allison Road.
The motorist also committed a marked lanes violation in the intersection of Brown Avenue and Hayes Street and nearly sideswiped three parked cars along Hayes.
Field sobriety tests indicated she was impaired and she was taken into custody. Her breath test was 0.163. She was released to a sober friend.
