Bellefontaine’s girls basketball team had trouble containing Kenton Ridge early on Wednesday and that spelled a tough night.

Visiting Kenton Ridge exploded to a 22-10 lead after one quarter and stayed in control the rest of the way for a 54-29 victory over the Chiefs in a Central Buckeye Conference contest.
The Chiefs fall to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in the CBC, while the Cougars move to 4-2, 2-1.
“The biggest thing that hurt us in that first quarter was their quickness on the offensive boards,” said Bellefontaine head coach Henry Stolly. “They got a lot of second chances and you can’t allow a team like that to get a lot of extra opportunities.”
