From the left, Drew Shick, Aaron Pool and Bellefontaine Rotary Club President Angel Payne stand with donations from the Bellefontaine Rotary Club to the Logan County Outreach Centers of Bellefontaine, Indian Lake and Russells Point. The Rotary Club purchased laptops, printers, computer and school supplies along with playground equipment for all three centers. The total budget was $4,186 and is a 50/50 match grant with funds coming from the club and District 6670. The Logan County Outreach Centers, operated under the direction of Shick and Pool, are located in lower income areas of the county where kids enjoy going to be in a structured, safe environment outside of school. The Outreach Centers are open year round and offer a safe space, provide lunch, and mentors are available as well as adult supervision. The Rotary Foundation District Grants are block grants designed to support smaller dollar amount local or international projects. (SUBMITTED PHOTO)
