The Bellefontaine Police Department eighth annual Community Safety Event returns from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at Southview Park, 600 W. Lake Ave.
Bellefontaine Police Department Chief Brandon Standley reports that this week, the Logan County Health District has approved the department’s plans for this year’s event, with social distancing measures kept in mind.
The Bellefontaine Joint Recreation District will assist with providing hand sanitizing stations for the park during the event, and are also considering portable hand washing stations too.
Other participating agencies also can provide their own hand sanitizing supplies.
The seventh annual K9 Chicken Dinner Fundraiser will be offered during the event, with a slight variation in how the dinners are served, Chief Standley said.
There will not be bounce houses this year because of santization concerns, but other games and activities for children will be offered.
