The students and staff of Benjamin Logan High School participated in Make A Difference Day Monday, which was modeled after the National Observance of Make A Difference Day, which was observed around the country Oct. 26.
Students work together on a sign in the village of Zanesfield.
Pupils rake mulch at a park in West Mansfield.
Throughout the day, the youths and staff members engaged in various beautification projects throughout the communities of Belle Center, Rushsylvania, West Mansfield, and Zanesfield. Tasks also included raking leaves, pulling weeds, painting fence posts and picnic tables, painting ball field fences, washing windows, seal coating sidewalks and other odd jobs. The seasonal temperatures provided a pleasant environment for students as they worked within the communities where they live and play and experienced the values of commitment and volunteerism.
