Decision could impact Logan County
Columbus was the only Ohio city named as a possible site for Amazon’s multibillion- dollar second headquarters, but a decision to locate in Ohio’s capital city likely would have a trickle down effect on Logan County’s economy.
“As the City of Columbus and the Columbus 2020 — the 11-county region that Logan County is part of — climbs in the national ranking it will continue to have a positive impact on our community,” Paul Benedetti, president and CEO of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce said. “(The year) 2017 showed public/private investment at an all-time high with over $300 million in expansion and improvements to existing businesses and new building investment dollars.”
