Bellefontaine’s boys and girls swim teams each finished first against Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake and Columbus Beechcroft in the final home meet of the season.

Bellefontaine’s girls recorded 93 points to easily finish in front of second-place Ben Logan (49). Indian Lake was third with nine points and Beechcroft finished fourth with eight points.
The Chieftain boys had 71 points for their win. Indian Lake was second with 47, the Raiders were third with 22 and Beechcroft finished fourth with three.
“Tonight was a chance to celebrate our seniors and all of the work they have put in during their time on our team,” said BHS head coach Sharon Leiws. “The seniors were given the chance to choose their events which in some cases pushed other swimmers into new races. We enjoyed a team meal and a night of supportive teammates. The swimmers focused on technique and pushed through their finishes. We saw improvements in form which will lead to drops in time as we begin to lower our workload over the coming weeks. It was a great night to be a part of the Chieftain swim family.”
