Bellefontaine City Schools students and staff assist runners with providing snacks and support at the finish line of the Columbus Marathon Sunday. More than 60 students and staff from Bellefontaine High School and Bellefontaine Middle School volunteered at marathon, including members of the BHS National Honor Society, BHS cheerleaders, BHS swim team, BHS envirothon team, BHS girls cross country team, and BMS cross country team. There were 1,738 runners in the full marathon, including four Bellefontaine residents. There were 4,912 runners in the half marathon, including three from Bellefontaine.
