Bellefontaine’s varsity bowling teams picked up wins over Springfield Shawnee on Wednesday.
The Chieftain boys rallied for a 2,590-2,567 win, while the girls rolled to a 2,418-1,822 victory.
In the boys match, Bellefontaine trailed by nine pins going into the baker games. The Chiefs then posted an 840 baker total to Shawnee’s 808 to move ahead and get the win.
Kyle Southard rolled games of 181 and 242 for a 423 series to spark BHS. Dallas Gibbs had games of 187 and 205 for a 392 series and Robby Weikart had a 170 game.
It was a balanced effort for the Chieftain girls in their victory. Hannah Davis fired a 246 game and a 192 game for a 438 series, Madison Aldo had games of 200 and 185 for a 385 series, Angel Binfet had a 169 game and 326 series and Lauren Heminger had a 163 game.
In junior varsity action, Bellefontaine’s boys won 2,109-1,779. Noah Jackson led the Chiefs with a 223 game and 379 series, Hayden Salyer posted a 187 game and Ian Stevens and Hunter Karg each had a 173 game.
